With my visit across the water to London very much on my mind, I’ve been looking back over some of the amazing places that I’ve visited last time and pondering “Can I squeeze them all into my few days this time around?!” One of these places is Tuttons London; a British restaurant serving British cuisine from breakfast right through to dinner.
Its elegant, dignified and stately interiors give it a 1930’s prohibition feel. Tuttons is located opposite the royal opera house in the lively hub of culture that can only be Covent Garden.
The ambiance exudes casualness and vivacity. This is a restaurant where you can really relax and let your hair down, so to speak. The rich dark panelling is set aginst the rich cherry leather seating. A touch of glamour is added with beveled mirrored paneling being used above the fixed seating and also as coving to the room surround. Single chairs are of dark walnut with a simple curved back detail, with that rich cherry leather seat-pad. Herringbone timber flooring and a checker timber molding detail gives extra depth to what is essentially rectangular room spaces. Lighting is kept moody and simple too with the dramatic lighting effects being kept to a few oversized lamps being placed over booths.
The food is good too!….. traditional British cuisine the way you’d expect, in a setting that you’ll love. Check it out!
